AIMH - Teaching Babies to Self Soothe

Blog 2

Have you got a little one, who is under six months who you struggle to put down for sleeps (or at all!) during the day? Have you got a little one, who is under six months who you struggle to put down for sleeps (or at all!) during the day?

As you all know, I don’t advocate any kind of sleep training until babies are over six months.

This video on ‘Sleeping and Soothing’ is really helpful and shows some really gentle, repetitive routines that help babies to learn to self soothe, using your voice or touch to reasusure them.

It is free to register as a parent with The Association for Infant Mental Health UK, and they have a really useful ‘Parent Resources’ section.

Feel free to ask questions in the comments or message me directly if you have any interesting situations.
