"Sleepwalking can start at any age, but is more common in children. It’s thought that at least 20% of children will sleepwalk at least once. Most will grow out of it by the time they reach puberty, but it can sometimes persist into adult life".

Being over tired, or worried about something can cause a child to sleep walk, also having a temperature can be a reason why a child sleep walks.

Sleep Walking can be very disruptive to family life, especially if it is happening on a regular basis. Do you have a sleep Walker?

How old was your child when they first started? What have you done to help them to stop? Please share your stores, as you will not be the only one dealing with this problem.

I advise my clients to wake their child if they are frequently sleep walking at a particular time during the night. Often sleep walking happens at the beginning of the night, in the deepest state of sleep. If you wake your child 10-15 minutes before they usually start sleep walking, this can break the sleep cycle and also stop the sleep walking from happening. I give the same advice if a child suffers from night terrors. .
